The city of Deerfield Beach is located not just amidst a myriad of Florida tourist destinations - this small, coastal town is also directly in the track of most of the state's hurricanes.

So when city officials visited the FDNY Firezone, they immediately realized that its unique blend of education and entertainment could be applied to the power of hurricanes and tropical storms.

Currently in the funding stage, Hurricane Warning!, is a state-of-the-art, innovative destination that will entertain both residents and tourists as they become immersed in educational programming about disaster readiness.

Rick developed the creative concept that leads visitors through the entire "life cycle" of a storm-from the first whisper of wind over the Atlantic to the devastation and destruction left in the hurricane's aftermath. Along the way visitors will get a visceral, "hands-on" lesson in keeping their homes and families safe from wind, flooding and storm surge... they even get to don raincoats to experience a simulated storm!
