The Wubbulous World of Dr. Suess made its mark by seamlessly blending live action Jim Henson puppets with computer-generated environments all in real time. Working from scripts based on the playful words and worlds of Ted Geisel, puppeteers would work in all-blue environments while looking into monitors that created the background around them.
The series ran for three years as part of Nick Jr.'s lineup, and inspired a complete array of licensed products including a line of children's books from Random House.
Produced by the Jim Henson Company and Nickelodeon
Directed by Rick Velleu (two seasons)
